The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched the first phase of the ambitious Housing scheme for the year 2019 recently. The Authority has decided to sell a total of 1250 flats in the first phase and on a first-come-first-serve basis. These flats are situated in Ramnagar Colony, Narela and Seersapur. According to the latest news report, 700 flats already booked by prospective homebuyers within 24 hours of the launch.
This time DDA has decided to sell the flats in various phases. A total of 20,000 units are up for sale and out of these 16,296 flats are for low-income groups (LIG) and 3,624 homes are dedicated to economically weaker Sections (EWS). The Authority has already started developing these units that will be ready by March.
How to Apply?
To apply for the schemes, Homebuyers have to just log on to the DDA’s official website and click on the ‘DDA Online Housing Scheme 2019’. Search for locality and type of Flat and create your user id. After Logging, fill in all the details asked by the authority. Confirm your details and pay the requisite amount. A receipt will be allotted.
Details of the Flats
All the flats available under this scheme will be developed with the latest technologies. According to DDA officials, the flats are earthquake-resistant that can resist earthquake up to 8.5 Richter scale. Further, the residential project is host to all the modern facilities like RO drinking water, local sewage treatment plants, and underground parking.
700 Units Booked
On getting an overwhelming response of the home buyers, DDA Housing Commissioner Rajiv Gandhi said, “On the first day, we put up 950 flats on offer and over 400 flats were booked within a few hours itself. Around 300 flats in Seeraspur were added on Saturday afternoon. Till around [Saturday] 5 p.m. over 670 flats have been booked.”
He further said that this time DDA has decided not to go by the lottery system. On the other hand, the complete process will be on the first-come-first-serve basis. Homebuyers have just to pay the initial amount for booking their required flat.
Moreover, DDA has also increased the size of the one-BHK flat from 323 sqft. to 430 sq.ft. and the whole project is developed as per the National Building Code of 2016.
