The news about ‘Digital India’ is all over the internet. On Saturday, PM Modi visited Silicon Valley in the US where he addressed more than 250 business leaders who heartily supported and endorsed the ambitious idea. Several tech biggies including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google’s Sundar Pichai, Qualcomm’s Jacobs and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella were present at the meet.
Digital India aims at building a digital infrastructure for the country so that the government can deliver all of its services to people through online medium. Though India is globally acknowledged for its IT competency, a larger part of the country is not yet aware of the internet and digital world. Hence, this ambitious plan focuses on improving the state of digital literacy in India, reducing paperwork and getting things done in a better way.
