Jewar Airport: Agency to study how to link it with Delhi/NCR

In a recent development, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has invited bids for selecting a consultant that will study ways to connect the proposed Jewar Airport to Delhi and other important cities of NCR. The last date to submit applications is October 24, as told by YEIDA officials.

According to Shailendra Bhatia, an officer on special duty at YEIDA, the consultant applying should have an annual turnover of at least Rs 20 crore in the last three financial years and should be able to submit the report within four months.

Jewar Airport to Get Maximum Passengers from Delhi: Report

In a preliminary report submitted by Price water house Coopers (PwC), who won the bid to prepare the techno-feasibility report for the sanctioned international airport at Jewar, has said, that the airport will get at least 41% of the passengers from the NCT Delhi and around 26% from Uttar Pradesh.
