So, here are the guidelines every home buyer must know while applying for the DDA housing Scheme 2018.

Types of Homes

DDA opens the application for the allotment of the three different types of homes. The following properties cost between 18 lakhs and 1.5 Crore rupees. The price for each unit depends on the size and location.

  • Janta Flats

  • LIG [Low Income Group]

  • MIG [Middle Income Group]

  • HIG [High Income Group]

The authority provides both Online and Offline application system which helps thousands of people to try their luck for getting a DDA allotted home.

Registration Fees for:

  • Rs 1 lakh for Janta LIG Flats.

  • Rs 2 lakhs for MIG and HIG flats.

Steps to Apply for DDA Housing Scheme 2018 Online

  1. Visit the official website of DDA and check the flat location, unit detail and price.

  2. Get more detailed information on the housing scheme, under the ‘Online Public Service’ column, that appears on the left side of the homepage.

  3. Then, click on the DDA Aawasiya Yojna, and a new page will open. This page comprises of various details related to online and offline payment methods. Also, you will find the list of designated banks here.

  4. Now, the applicant is required to fill his/her personal details, select the type of flat and other details asked in the online registration form and then click on the submit button. The applicant can pay the registration fee both via online and offline mode.

  5. Also, the applicant is required to submit the documents, along with the filled application form. These documents can be directly submitted at the DDA’s office or can also upload the scanned copies online.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. The applicant must be of 18 years or above.

  2. The applicant must not be a property owner of any residential unit in Delhi, New Delhi/ Delhi Cantonment. Also, he/she must not own property previously in his/her own name or in the name of his/her spouse or his/her dependent relations, including unmarried children.

  3. One applicant is eligible to submit one application only.

  4. The couple can apply for the DDA Housing Scheme 2018 separately. But, one has to surrender the allotted home in case both husband and wife get selected in the housing draw.

An applicant can download the application form and the brochure by visiting DDA’s website. Else, the applicant can visit the websites of designated banks for the same. The application form is available for download on the websites of the following banks:

  • ICICI Bank

  • Axis Bank

  • HDFC Bank

  • Yes Bank

  • IDBI Bank

  • Kotak Mahindra Bank

  • Central Bank of India

  • State Bank of India

In case of applying online for the DDA housing Scheme 2018, the applicant must remember that the corrections or change in the data submitted by him/her is editable within 72 hours from the date and time of submission of the application form.

The applicant is eligible to make the payment of registration fee via RTGS/NEFT from all over the world in DDA’s account.

Required Documents

  • PAN card.

  • Residence Proof with a copy of passport, ration card, driving license, government identity card, telephone, electricity, or water bill, house tax receipt, bank passbook or Aadhaar card.

  • Bank passbook or statement of account, as mentioned in the application form for the last one year, or a copy of the applicant’s income tax return(s), filed for the assessment year.

*All documents must be self-attested.

Process of Flat Allotment under DDA housing Scheme 2018

A computerized draw will take place once the authority closes submission of application forms on a particular date. This draw will be carried out in the presence of independent judges.
