Flowers play an important role in every Indian festival. You can make an elegant bouquet or flower arrangement and add a few leaves for greenery. Flower decoration keeps the pandal alive and fresh.
Give your guests a humble yet stylish welcome by making ceramic rangoli around the Ganpati idol. Such rangoli designs also add value to the decor aesthetically, functionally as well as environmentally. You can also place diyas as they further embellish the whole decoration and give more beautiful effect than synthetic colours.
Drapes and Dupattas
Use fancy dupattas and sarees to give a gorgeous look to the pandal. You can hang them in different designs vertically or horizontally and adorn them with beautiful and colourful beads. Embellish them further with fairy lights and marigold garlands or strings.
Mouli and Kalash
Cover the pillars of the pandal with mouli which is a traditional Indian Puja accessory. It is considered auspicious and is environment-friendly too. Kalash Themed decoration is an innovative way which is followed by many Bollywood celebrities too. Give a traditional touch with small matkas or kalash made of mud to decorate your Ganpati sthaan this year. They are easily soluble in water and do not contaminate our water bodies.
Betel leaf or better known as paan ka patta is another important puja essential during Ganesh Chaturthi. Create a canopy of these leaves or another design that gives an auspicious and refreshing look to the idol. Even Betel nuts can also be used to decorate the pandal in the form of strings.
