Haryana government issued 23 licenses to builders to build  affordable luxury homes under its affordable housing scheme in 2013. Some builders started the projects in 2014 and many in 2015. It is a boon for the Aam Aadmi or the middle income group. Property prices were at a one time high and for the middle and lower income group owning a home was just a dream, but now with affordable housing one can think and plan to buy a house.

These projects are approved by the Town and Country Planning Department of Haryana, a planning body operating for the Haryana government. So buyers need not worry anymore he can check the authenticity of a project on the official website TCP of the government and also get all the information online. The government has also fixed the price range beyond which a developer cannot sell the house. It was fixed at 4000rs/sq ft, you cannot sell beyond the fixed rate. Houses are available in the form of 1BHK or 2BHK.

The government has a single portal system and you can apply online and book your flat, there is a lottery system and you pay only a reasonable sum to buy a home. If you follow the regular route, interested buyers will have to fill up the application form for affordable housing, and give a draft for a fixed amount and wait for the lucky draw. But some buyers are trying to bypass the system and trying to gain backdoor entry, land up paying a premium amount. If we term that the current season belongs to affordable housing especially in Gurgaon, Haryana it will not be an exaggeration.

  • HCBS Sports Ville, Sohna Road, Gurgaon. 2BHK, at 17.50 lakhs

  • RMG Residency, Gurgaon, ½ BHK@ 18lacs onwards with a 90% loan from Haryana government.

So there are various projects from which you can choose and book your flat. Some established builders are also offering flats under the affordable housing scheme. Now buying a house is easy and a dream come true under the banner of affordable housing.
